Mercedes pilot George Russell shared his opinion about the record of Max Verstappen from Red Bull.


Verstappen was the strongest after 14 races in 2022 and surpassed the achievement of Michael Schumacher and Sebastian Vettel.


We`ve known for a long time how good Max is. Of course, this is not the first time in the history of Formula 1 that a driver or team has been so dominant. Mercedes also had this: Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg at some point won almost all the Grand Prix (19 out of 21 in 2016, an F-1 record -).


If Lewis hadn`t had such a good teammate during that period, he probably would have won many more races than Max does now. But this does not detract from his achievement: Max has been excellent and unmistakable all season, and we must try to complete the series, Russell emphasized.
