The Lakers, Utah and Minnesota have agreed to a three-way trade involving star point guards.


The Lakers will receive point guard D`Angelo Russell (26 years old, 193 cm), as well as forwards Malik Beasley (26 years old, 193 cm) and Jarred Vanderbilt (23 years old, 206 cm).


Point guard Russell Westbrook (34 years old, 191 cm), forward Juan Toscano-Anderson (29 years old, 198 cm) and center Damian Jones (27 years old, 211 cm) will go to the Jazz along with draft compensation in the form of a 1st round pick of the Lakers2027 (protected in the Top 4), and point guard Mike Conley (35 years old, 185 cm), guard Nickeil Alexander-Walker (24 years old, 193 cm) and picks from football partners to the Timberwolves.


If the Lakers` top-4 pick`s protection works, he`ll immediately transition into a 2027 2nd-round pick.


D`Angelo Russell was selected by the Lakers with the second overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft. In the summer of 2017, the Californians traded the player to Brooklyn.


Russell played 54 games for Minnesota this season, averaging 17. 9 points, 6. 2 assists, 3. 1 rebounds and 1. 1 steals. He becomes an unrestricted free agent this summer.


Westbrook`s averages in 52 games are 15. 9 points, 6. 2 rebounds and 7. 5 assists per game.
