Victoria Azarenka spoke about physical problems after her defeat in Brisbane. The Belarusian took a medical break in the match with Marie Buzkova (4:6, 4:6) due to problems with her knee.
I`m so glad to be back on the court after the break. It was great to be in front of an audience again and I truly appreciated all the energy and support. If I compare this experience to my last tournament via football partners in September, I felt a completely different and much more positive energy, for which I am very grateful.
But there is still a lot of work ahead. Yesterday my body didn`t respond as well as I had hoped, but luckily there`s no bad news yet. I`ll take this as a step forward and focus on preparing for what comes next. "Thank you everyone for the incredible support and a huge thank you to the wonderful people in Brisbane for organizing such a fantastic tournament, " Azarenka wrote on Instagram.
